As announced by then Acting Secretary of State, the U.S. Government suspended processing for all Iraqi P-2 applications on January 22, 2021, pending further review. On April 22, 2021, the Department of State determined it was necessary to extend the suspension of the Iraqi P-2 program beyond the initial 90-day period as reviews are ongoing.
After an extensive review, processing has resumed for a select number of cases. However, many cases remain on hold and no updates will be made until they resume processing. If you have provided any additional information to update your case, we will make those updates when your case review is completed by the U.S. Government and removed from hold.
Please refer to the U.S. Department of State’s website for more information on the suspension of the Iraqi P-2 program at:

There are no other methods to apply for this program. Individuals who already have a case are not permitted to reapply.
RSC MENA will continue to monitor developments and will provide further guidance when it is available. The RSC will contact applicants directly if there are any requests for additional information or updates to their specific case. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
